…and I, for one, am really looking forward to the school holidays. I know – have I taken leave of my senses? But, no – I’m actually looking forward to some fun chill-out time with my two boys. Now that a whole term has gone by with the two of them both at school, I’m still not quite used to the quiet house every day. Don’t get me wrong: I relish the time to myself and put it to very good use. But I miss the little guys while they’re not here, and we all enjoy how relaxed the school holidays are with a complete lack of routine. Pyjama days, sleep-ins, movies, cafes, the beach…lovely stuff.
So I sent them off today with their little Easter goodies for their school friends and teachers, and posted off some goodies yesterday to the boys’ grandparents and cousins, including these little goodie bags for my nephews (one of them has food allergies and can’t eat chocolate).
I couldn’t resist making some for my boys too. I’ve also promised them some fun Easter craft activities on Sunday, so it’s time to raid my craft stash and put some little activity boxes together.
Hope you all have a safe and happy Easter surrounded by those you love (and yes, I do include chocolate in that category). I’ll see you on the other side with a whopping big blog post about my 6-year-old’s Arcade birthday party!
