I’m so pleased to show you all some photos from my son Hugo’s science-themed 8th birthday party that we held at the end of April. It turned out to be one of the most relaxed kids parties we’ve had (after all of the manic party prep, that is!) because we hired an entertainer from Fizzics Education who came out to dazzle the kids with experiments. It’s the first time we’ve ever hired a party entertainer, and I highly recommend it if you’re able to afford one. It really made for a stress-free party!

All the kids had personalised ID badges for access to the lab!
These party favours contained Pop Rock candy and glow-in-the-dark putty.
One single drop of food colouring in each water bottle achieved this fun effect!
What’s a laboratory without lab rats. 😉

I actually found those at my local supermarket of all places! I think they are produced by the Woolworths own generic brand, and I found them in their party section. From memory, they measured about 8cm(w) x 5cm(h) x 5cm(d).
